We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Chinese Translator

Locations: Lagos Free Zone Trade, Idotun and Ibeju-Lekki - Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time (Onsite)
Working Schedule: 6days in a week (Monday through Saturday)

Position Overview

• We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Turkish/chinese Translator to join our team.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for translating written and spoken content between Chinese (Mandarin) and English (or other target languages), ensuring accuracy, cultural appropriateness, and clarity.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate documents, reports, marketing materials, and digital content from Chinese to English (and vice versa).
• Provide interpretation services during meetings, conferences, or calls when required.
• Ensure translations maintain the original meaning, tone, and context.
• Proofread and edit translated texts for accuracy and fluency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support communication needs.
• Conduct research to verify terminology and ensure consistency across projects.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Translation, Linguistics, Chinese/Turkish Language or related field.
• Proven experience as a translator or interpreter (minimum 2–3 years preferred).
• Native or near-native fluency in Chinese (Mandarin) and English.
• Strong knowledge of grammar, idioms, and cultural nuances.
• Proficiency with translation tools and software (e.g., CAT tools, SDL Trados).
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
