Job Title: People Officer

Job Description

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records to ensure 100% compliance with HR systems, documentation standards, and audit requirements.
  • Administer employee lifecycle processes including confirmations, promotions, transfers, leave management, and exits in line with company policies.
  • Provide timely and accurate HR data and reports to support decision-making and workforce planning.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee queries, ensuring issues are resolved within defined service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Uphold a high level of professionalism and confidentiality in handling sensitive employee matters.
  • Support the implementation of employee engagement initiatives to improve retention, morale, and productivity.
  • Promote a positive workplace culture aligned with MATNA Foods’ values and behavioral standards.
  • Assist in managing disciplinary and grievance processes in compliance with company policies and applicable labor laws.
  • Facilitate the performance management process and ensure 100% completion of performance reviews within established timelines.
  • Support managers in tracking employee performance and implementing performance improvement plans where required.
  • Drive awareness and consistent adoption of performance management frameworks across operational teams.
  • Coordinate and monitor training and development programs aligned with operational and capability needs.
  • Track and ensure completion of mandatory training programs, including health, safety, food safety, and quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate training records and support continuous learning initiatives across the workforce.
  • Ensure consistent application of HR policies and compliance with labor laws and internal governance frameworks.
  • Support internal and external audits by maintaining accurate HR documentation and ensuring audit readiness.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve HR processes, efficiency, compliance, and employee experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years’ HR generalist or HR operations experience, preferably within FMCG, manufacturing, or industrial environments.
  • Professional HR certification (e.g., CIPM, SHRM, HRCI) is an added advantage.
  • Proven experience in employee relations, HR administration, and performance management.
  • Strong knowledge of HR processes, labor laws, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience in HR reporting, analytics, and documentation management.
  • Understanding of manufacturing workforce dynamics and shift-based operations.
  • Familiarity with ISO standards, GMP, and food safety practices (advantageous).
