We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: HSE Officer (Safety Officer)

Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• We are seeking a qualified and proactive Safety Officer to oversee health, safety, and environmental (HSE) compliance within our agrochemical operations.
• The ideal candidate will ensure a safe working environment by implementing safety policies, conducting inspections, managing chemical safety procedures, and promoting workplace safety awareness.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine safety inspections and risk assessments.
• Ensure compliance with HSE regulations and company policies.
• Monitor safe handling, storage, and disposal of agrochemicals.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses.
• Organize HSE training, toolbox talks, and emergency drills.
• Maintain safety records, reports, and documentation.
• Ensure proper use of PPE and safety equipment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or HND qualification in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of HSE experience in agrochemical, chemical, manufacturing, or related industry.
• Good knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations.
• Strong communication, reporting, and problem-solving skills.

Required Certifications:

• NEBOSH IGC.
• IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent.
• OSHA Certification.
• First Aid & CPR Certification.
• Fire Safety Training.

Added Advantage:

• ISO 45001 or ISO 14001 Certification.
• Experience in chemical manufacturing environment.

Salary
N200,000 - N250,000 per month.
