Job Title: Procurement Manager (Agrochemical Industry)

Job Summary

• We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to oversee sourcing, purchasing, and supply chain activities for our agrochemical operations.
• The ideal candidate must have prior experience working in an agrochemical company and possess strong knowledge of agrochemical raw materials, packaging materials, vendor management, importation processes, and inventory control.
• The Procurement Manager will be responsible for ensuring cost-effective procurement, supplier reliability, regulatory compliance, and uninterrupted supply of materials required for production and operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company goals.
• Source and procure agrochemical raw materials, active ingredients, packaging materials, and operational supplies.
• Manage supplier relationships, negotiations, and contract administration.
• Identify and evaluate reliable local and international vendors.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate timely replenishment of materials.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and regulatory requirements.
• Track market trends, pricing, and supply risks within the agrochemical industry.
• Coordinate import/export documentation and logistics activities where necessary.
• Collaborate with production, warehouse, finance, and quality control teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Prepare procurement reports, budgets, and cost-saving analyses.
• Ensure timely delivery of goods while maintaining quality standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Chemistry, Industrial Management, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ procurement experience in an agrochemical company is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of agrochemical products, raw materials, and supply chain processes.
• Experience in vendor sourcing, contract negotiation, and inventory management.
• Knowledge of importation and logistics processes is an added advantage.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP/procurement software.

Required Certifications:

• Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS)
• Certified Purchasing & Supply Professional (CPSP) or equivalent
• Supply Chain Management Certification

Added Advantage:

• Experience with international sourcing and importation
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements within the agrochemical industry
• Membership of relevant professional bodies.

Salary
N300,000 - N350,000 per month.
