Job Title: Senior Accountant

Location: Ikoyi, Lagos

Job Summary

• The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing financial reporting, accounting operations, budgeting, taxation, and compliance within the organization.
• The role ensures accurate financial records, compliance with statutory regulations, effective cost management, and timely preparation of financial statements to support management decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Manage general ledger activities and ensure accurate accounting records.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions.
• Conduct bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow activities.
• Prepare and review budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, statutory deductions, and financial reporting standards.
• Monitor inventory accounting and cost control procedures.
• Coordinate external and internal audit activities.
• Review payroll processing and employee reimbursements.
• Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations to management.
• Ensure proper documentation and filing of financial records.
• Monitor fixed asset register and depreciation schedules.
• Assist in implementing financial controls and risk management measures.
• Supervise junior accounting staff and provide guidance where necessary.

Qualifications / Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related discipline.
• Master’s Degree is an added advantage.
• ACA / ACCA certification is required
• 6 - 7 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Must have worked with a Top Manufacturing Organization (VERY IMPORTANT)
• Must be between the ages of 30-38 years of age.
• Previous experience within the manufacturing sector is an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, taxation, budgeting, ERP systems, and cost accounting.

Salary Range
N800,000 – N1,200,000 Monthly.
