Job Title: Health Information Manager

Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Job Summary

• Health Information Managers (HIM) are administrative healthcare professionals who organize, oversee, and protect patient health data.
• They ensure that traditional and digital medical records—such as symptoms, diagnoses, medical histories, and test results—are accurate, secure, and easily accessible to authorized personnel.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Management: Oversee the collection, filing, and processing of both paper and electronic medical records.
• Privacy & Compliance: Ensure all health information complies with strict privacy regulations (such as HIPAA in the US) and legal/ethical standards.
• Billing & Coding: Translate patient diagnoses and medical procedures into standardized codes used for insurance claims and reimbursement.
• System Implementation: Design, manage, and troubleshoot computerized health information systems and Electronic Health Records (EHRs).
• Data Analysis: Analyze clinical and operational data to spot trends, improve patient safety, and support health research.

Essential Skills Needed:

• Technology Proficiency: Strong understanding of health informatics, database management, and EHR software.
• Detail-Oriented: A high degree of precision is required to input codes and protect the integrity of medical data.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of healthcare compliance and medical-legal requirements.
• Communication: Ability to bridge the gap between clinical staff, hospital administration, and IT professionals.

Salary
N100,000 - N250,000 per month.
