Job Responsibilities
Deal origination and execution:
- Prepare high quality comprehensive financial models and investment memos to support the company’s understanding of new investment and business opportunities.
- Support due diligence of investment opportunities and manage various stakeholders on the transactions.
- Prepare relevant internal and external documents required to inform relevant stakeholders on the investment opportunities.
- Support transaction execution workstreams as required.
Portfolio Management:
- Provide competitive analysis on portfolio companies’ market offerings and stay updated on market trends
- Provide financial advisory support to portfolio companies where required.
- Develop and maintain investment models, portfolio data, and supporting analytics.
- Collate, review and query portfolio companies’ monthly management accounts.
Strategy Review and Developemnt:
- Assist in the development and review of strategy for the Company and its portfolio companies.
- Support the review of annual budgets and medium to long-term plans.
- Champion agreed strategies at the Company and portfolio level.
Candidate requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably with concentrations in highly analytical fields such as Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering or related fields.
- Post-graduate qualification, Chartered Accountant and/or Chartered Financial Analyst designation is an added advantage.
- Outstanding academic record.
- 4-5 years of work experience, particularly in research, capital-raising, origination, executing, and monitoring of investments.
- Ability to develop complex financial models, perform financial analysis, company valuations, and comparable company analyses.
- Strong problem-solving skills and demonstrated ability to take initiative and critically analyze processes and procedures.
- Strong project and time management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
