Job Description
- We are seeking an experienced and creative Pastry Chef to join the team.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality pastries, desserts, breads, cakes, and baked treats while maintaining excellent presentation, hygiene, and kitchen standards.
- The successful candidate must be passionate about baking, recipe development, and dessert presentation, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
What You Will Do
- Prepare and decorate cakes using fondant, buttercream, whipped cream, ganache, and themed designs
- Produce puff pastries including croissants, pain au chocolat, Danish pastries, and cinnamon rolls
- Prepare desserts such as cheesecakes, parfaits, mousse, tiramisu, brownies, waffles, and pancakes
- Produce pastries, baked treats, cookies, and small chops
- Bake breads including artisan bread, burger buns, sandwich loaves, dinner rolls, and soft bread
- Develop creative recipes and improve dessert presentation standards
- Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and portioning
- Maintain cleanliness, food hygiene, and kitchen safety standards
- Monitor baking ingredients and kitchen inventory
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely production and delivery
- Operate and maintain baking equipment properly.
Qualifications
- Professional training or certification in Pastry Arts, Baking, or Culinary Arts is an advantage
- Previous experience in a bakery, restaurant, hotel, or pastry kitchen preferred.

- Knowledge of chocolate work and dessert plating is an added advantage
