Job Title: Senior Accountant

Job Summary

• We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to oversee financial operations, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and provide accurate financial reporting to support business decision-making.
• The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, sound financial knowledge, and the ability to manage accounting processes effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports.
• Manage the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Monitor and reconcile bank statements, ledgers, and accounts.
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, tax regulations, and company policies.
• Handle payroll processing and monitor financial transactions.
• Conduct financial analysis and provide management with insights and recommendations.
• Coordinate internal and external audits.
• Monitor budgets and cash flow activities.
• Supervise and support accounting staff where applicable.
• Ensure timely filing of taxes and statutory deductions.
• Implement and improve accounting systems and financial controls.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certification such as ACA, ACCA, ICAN, or equivalent is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a senior accounting role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• High level of integrity and attention to detail.
• The ability to drive is an added advantage.
• Must be resident in Abuja.
