We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Shift Engineer - Electrical
Location: Niger
Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain electrical systems, machinery, and equipment during shift operations.
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical installations and equipment.
- Diagnose electrical faults and implement timely repairs to minimize downtime.
- Ensure uninterrupted power supply and proper functioning of generators, transformers, motors, switchgears, and control panels.
- Supervise electrical technicians and shift maintenance personnel.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and company policies.
- Record shift activities, maintenance works, breakdown reports, and handover notes.
- Coordinate with production and other departments to resolve operational issues.
- Conduct inspections of electrical systems to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of electrical tools and testing equipment.
- Support installation, commissioning, and modification of electrical equipment.
- Monitor energy consumption and recommend efficiency improvements.
- Respond promptly to emergency electrical breakdowns during shift hours.
- Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained in electrical work areas.
