Job Title: Biology Teacher
Location: Ibadan, Oyo
Reports to: Head of Science / Academic Coordinaton
Job Summary
- We are seeking an experienced and passionate Biology Teacher to deliver engaging and practical lessons that promote scientific thinking, exploration, and understanding of the living world.
- The teacher will inspire students to appreciate biological sciences and prepare them for success in internal and external examinations.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver Biology lessons aligned with national and/or British curriculum standards
- Use engaging teaching methods, multimedia, and experiments to promote inquiry-based learning
- Prepare students for WAEC, NECO, and/or IGCSE Biology examinations
- Organize and supervise laboratory practical sessions
- Track and assess student progress; provide constructive feedback
- Maintain discipline and encourage positive classroom behavior
- Collaborate with other science teachers on interdisciplinary projects
- Participate in school events, science fairs, and professional development programs
Requirements & Skills
- B.Sc. / B.Ed. in Biology, Biological Sciences, or related field
- Minimum of 2 years’ teaching experience at the secondary level
- Knowledge of WAEC / NECO / IGCSE Biology syllabi
- Practical lab teaching experience and safety awareness
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Tech-savvy and student-focused.
