Job Title: Senior HR Business Partner – Talent & Resourcing

Job Purpose

  • The Senior HR Business Partner – Talent & Resourcing serves as a strategic people partner to senior business leaders, providing expert leadership across workforce planning, Talent management, and resourcing in a highly technical, safety critical oil and gas environment.
  • The role is accountable for ensuring the organisation attracts, mobilises, develops, and retains critical technical and leadership talent required to deliver safe, efficient operations and project execution.
  • Operating at both strategic and operational levels, the role combines strong HR Business Partnering capability with hands on resourcing leadership and talent management, balancing immediate operational demand with long term workforce sustainability, regulatory compliance, and local content objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a strategic people partner to senior leaders, aligning workforce and talent strategies with business priorities and operational plans.
  • Lead workforce and succession planning, anticipating short and long term talent needs, including scarce and specialist technical skills
  • Deliver end to end recruitment for technical, non-technical, specialist, and senior leadership roles, including local and expatriate hires where applicable.
  • Develop and execute effective sourcing strategies for hard to fill oil and gas roles in a competitive labour market
  • Manage external recruitment partners, contractors, and manpower vendors to ensure quality, speed, compliance, and cost efficiency.
  • Ensure all resourcing activities comply with labour laws, immigration requirements, governance standards, and local content obligations.
  • Provide hiring managers with market insight, recruitment guidance, and data driven advice.
  • Monitor and report on key recruitment and workforce metrics, using insights to continuously improve outcomes.
  • Collaborate with HR Centres of Excellence to support capability building, talent mobility, and leadership pipeline development.
  • Responsible for the key workforce analytics to support data-driven strategic workforce decisions with key timely deliverables, including the Annual Talent Book, Talent Play Book
  • Act as a focal point for end-to-end Talent and Resourcing processes

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Management Sciences, Social Sciences, and related disciplines with at least Second Class Upper from a reputable institution
  • Minimum of 10 years with relevant experience in HR Business Partnering, Talent, and Resourcing, ideally within energy or related industries.

The successful candidate should have:

  • A Business-centric HR Professional with strong commercial acumen
  • Proven experience delivering workforce planning and recruitment in complex environments.
  • Strong senior stakeholder engagement and influencing capability.
  • Commercial mindset with the ability to balance business urgency, quality, and compliance.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using recruitment and workforce data to inform decisions.
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint graphic skills.

Desirable:

  • Experience supporting project based, upstream, or offshore operations.
  • Knowledge of local content or expatriate workforce management.
  • Professional HR certification (CIPM, CIPD, SHRM, or equivalent).
