We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Forklift Operator

Job Summary 

  • Forklift Operator is responsible for operating forklifts and other cargo-handling equipment to load, unload, move, stack, and organize goods within the terminal.
  • This role supports shipping, logistics, warehouse, and terminal operations while ensuring safety and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Highly competent to operate forklifts safely and efficiently within the terminal.
  • Load and discharge cargo from trucks, containers, and vessels.
  • Stack and arrange cargo properly to prevent damage.
  • Move pallets, containers, cargoes, and materials to designated stacking areas
  • Perform routine forklift inspections before and after usage.
  • Report equipment faults and maintenance needed promptly.
  • Follow all HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) regulations
  • Assist with warehouse and inventory operations
  • Maintain accurate records of cargo movement when required
  • Work closely with terminal supervisors, crane operators, and logistics staff
  • Keep work areas clean and hazard-free

Requirements

  • Minimum of SSCE / WAEC/Trade Test qualification.
  • Valid Driving License.
  • Valid forklift operator certification is an added advantage.
  • Previous experience in warehouse, logistics, or terminal operations is an advantage
  • Good understanding of safety procedures.
  • Physical fitness and ability to work long hours.
  • Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
