We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Supply Chain Officer

Location: Abuja (FCT)

Accountabilities / Responsibilities (non-exhaustive list)

  • Supervising and organizing the daily activities of the Supply Chain team, including Supply Supervisors, and ensuring they perform the tasks linked to their role.
  • Being responsible for the order, purchase, stock and freight management in the coordination or in the project level, monitoring and ensuring an efficient implementation of the overall daily supply chain activities.
  • Monitoring and ensuring a smooth-running supply administration and the respect of the implemented supply procedures, proposing adjustments where needed.
  • Being responsible for the supply database and the correct filing and archiving of the supply documentation in order to guarantee the availability and the coherence of supply data.
  • Communicating with customers, keeping them up to date concerning their orders status (BO confirmation) and prioritizing procurement and transport according to their needs.
  • Collecting claims from the field, analysing causes, and making corrective actions.
  • In collaboration with the Supply Supervisor (if any) and in coordination with the HR department, supervising the associated processes (recruitment, training/induction, briefing/debriefing, evaluation, potential detection, development and communication) of the staff under his/her responsibility in order to ensure both the sizing and the amount of knowledge required.
  • Informing the Supply coordinator in case of any major issue and draws-up all required reporting, in order to keep updated and reliable information that will help in decision-making.
  • Performing any other tasks within the scope of his/her role, as directed by supervision and according to the needs of the mission.
  • Supporting the Supply Coordinator in supervising and organising the daily activities of the Supply team at the Coordination level.
  • Ensuring an efficient implementation of the supply procedures and standard tools within the whole mission.
  • Being the focus point of the Supply team to deal with internal customers and with the suppliers.
  • Doing field visits for technical support to the project team and assisting, training the project Supply team.
  • Drafting Supply report for Coordination and giving feedback to the project report; compiling the mission supply report to share with the Supply Co.
  • Setting objectives for the team at the coordination, monitoring them and evaluating them with the support of the Supply Coordinator.
  • As delegated, replacing the Supply Coordinator during absences and providing operational support by covering gaps within the supply team when required.
  • Assisting the Supply Co. during ARO/MYR preparation and updating supply guidelines and activities planning.

Required Skills and Performance

  • Education: Degree and specialization in Logistics/Supply Chain is required.
  • Experience: Minimum two years in supply chain management and in organization of supply administration and procedures is required
  • Proven understanding of MSF field supply chain operations and processes is highly desirable.
  • Languages: English language.
  • Knowledge: Computer literacy (MS Word, advance excel, internet, etc).
  • Knowledge on Importation procedures in Nigeria, general procurement and stock management in MSF is required.
  • Competencies: Stress management, Commitment to MSF principles, Behavioral flexibility, Result and quality orientation, Teamwork and Cooperation.

Remuneration
According to the MSFW salary scale (Level 7) in Nigeria.
