Job Title: Irrigation Engineer – Agriculture & Water Management Projects

Description
- We are seeking a skilled and innovative Irrigation Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and management of irrigation and water infrastructure projects for agricultural development initiatives nationwide.
Responsibilities
- Lead in design conceptualisation, designing, hydraulic planning, and interpretation of irrigation engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Lead the planning, execution, and management of irrigation and water infrastructure projects.
- Monitor irrigation performance and recommend improvements
- Coordinate installation and maintenance of irrigation infrastructure
- Ensure efficient water management and sustainability practices
- Collaborate with project teams on agricultural infrastructure development
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Engineering, Irrigation Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in irrigation, hydraulic engineering, or agricultural water management projects
- Strong understanding of sprinkler, drip, center pivot, and surface irrigation systems
- Proficiency in irrigation and hydraulic engineering software such as EPANET, WaterCAD, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, AutoCAD, Civil 3D,IrriCADand GIS
- Experience in hydraulic modelling, water resource planning, and irrigation network analysis
- Strong technical, analytical, and project management skills
- Professional certification or COREN registration is an added advantage
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in:
- Irrigation Engineering & Water Management
- Agricultural Water Systems Design
- Irrigation Network Installation & Maintenance
- Pumping Systems and Hydraulic Design
- Water Resource Planning
- Climate-Smart Agriculture Solutions
- Agribusiness, Irrigation, or Agricultural Infrastructure Projects
Relevant software proficiency required:
- AutoCAD,·Civil 3D,·EPANET,·HEC-RAS,·HEC-HMS,·GIS,·WaterCAD
- SWMM,·Microsoft Project or Primavera P6,·IrriCAD
We are looking for someone who is:
- Technically competent and solution-oriented

- Experienced in agricultural irrigation systems
- Capable of managing projects from design to execution

- Able to support large-scale agricultural expansion initiatives
Location:
- Abuja & Delta but will required to travel to different project sites.
