Job Title: Production Head - Plastics
Location: Ilupeju, Lagos

Responsibilities
PET Production Operations Management:
- Manage and supervise PET perform injection molding and blow molding production activities.
- Ensure achievement of daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.
- Monitor machine performance, line efficiency, rejection rates, and production wastage.
- Coordinate production schedules and mold change activities.
- Ensure optimal utilization of manpower and production resources.
- Monitor production processes to ensure operational efficiency and consistency.
- Maintain accurate production documentation and reports.
Equipment & Utilities Management:
- Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance for PET production machinery and molds.
- Ensure prompt troubleshooting and resolution of machine breakdowns.
- Monitor utilities including compressors, chillers, dryers, and air systems.
- Ensure equipment reliability and operational uptime.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams on machine improvement initiatives.
- Support installation and commissioning of new production equipment.
Quality Assurance & Compliance:
- Ensure PET products meet required quality standards and specifications.
- Coordinate quality checks during production operations.
- Monitor rejection levels and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with manufacturing SOPs and operational standards.
- Support quality audits and regulatory inspections.
- Ensure proper housekeeping and hygiene standards within production areas.
Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all factory safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct safety inspections and enforce PPE usage.
- Ensure safe operation of production machinery and utilities.
- Investigate production incidents and implement preventive actions.
- Promote a culture of safety awareness and operational discipline.
Team Leadership & Workforce Management:
- Lead and supervise production engineers, operators, and technicians.
- Ensure staff discipline, punctuality, and productivity.
- Conduct technical training and competency development initiatives.
- Evaluate staff performance and provide coaching for improvement.
- Foster teamwork, accountability, and operational excellence.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement:
- Prepare production efficiency, downtime, and wastage reports.
- Analyze operational data to identify production improvement opportunities.
- Drive cost reduction and process optimization initiatives.
- Implement lean manufacturing and operational excellence practices.
- Recommend process improvements to improve productivity and product quality.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- 7–10 years of experience in PET manufacturing operations.
- Strong expertise in injection and blow molding processes.
- Minimum of 3 years in a leadership or production management role.
- Experience working with PET production machinery and utilities.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing process controls and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in production reporting and operational analysis.
