MACABO Resources - Our client, a financial services firm, is recruiting to fill the position below: 

Job Title: Credit & Risk Analyst

Location: Ikeja, Lagos

About the Role

• We’re looking for a detail-oriented Credit & Risk Analyst to assess creditworthiness, evaluate risk exposure, and support sound lending decisions.
• You’ll work closely with the credit and operations teams to ensure portfolio quality and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and business plans to assess borrower risk.
• Prepare credit proposals and risk ratings for management approval.
• Monitor loan portfolio performance and flag early warning signs.
• Ensure compliance with CBN guidelines and internal credit policies.
• Collaborate with sales and operations to structure deals within risk appetite.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in credit analysis, risk management, or commercial lending.
• Strong knowledge of financial analysis, credit scoring, and risk assessment tools.
• Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets; experience with core banking / credit systems is an advantage.
• Good communication skills and ability to present findings clearly.
