Job Title: Welding Technician

Location: Ngaski LGA, Kebbi
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welding Technician to join our technical operations team.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for carrying out welding, fabrication, and repair works on equipment, machinery, and metal structures while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
• The successful candidate should possess strong technical welding skills, practical problem-solving ability, and the capacity to work effectively in an industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform welding and fabrication works using approved welding techniques and equipment
• Repair and maintain damaged metal components, machinery, and structures
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding specifications
• Inspect completed welds to ensure quality and compliance with standards
• Operate welding tools and equipment safely and efficiently
• Conduct routine maintenance checks on welding equipment
• Support installation and modification of mechanical structures and components
• Ensure adherence to workplace safety regulations and procedures
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum of OND, Trade Test, or Technical Certification in Welding/Fabrication or related field
• Valid welding certification is an added advantage
• 2–5 years’ relevant experience in welding and fabrication works
• Strong knowledge of welding techniques such as ARC, MIG, TIG, and gas welding
• Ability to read technical drawings and fabrication layouts
• Good understanding of industrial safety standards
• Physically fit and able to work in demanding operational environments
