Job Brief

  • BFI Insights is currently seeking to hire a strategic, commercially driven, and results-oriented Business Development/Growth Manager to lead expansion, revenue growth, partnership development, and market positioning initiatives across the firm’s consulting and training functions.
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying growth opportunities, building strategic relationships, driving client acquisition, and supporting the firm’s long-term business objectives within the consulting, financial advisory, and professional services space.
  • The successful candidate should possess strong business development, stakeholder management, and market expansion capabilities, with the ability to drive visibility, generate leads, secure partnerships, and contribute to the overall growth and sustainability of the firm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute business development and growth strategies aligned with the firm’s commercial objectives
  • Drive client acquisition, lead generation, and conversion of prospects into long-term business relationships
  • Lead the firm’s LinkedIn growth strategy as the primary business visibility and client acquisition platform
  • Oversee the firm’s social media and digital content team, providing direction, supervision, and performance management
  • Manage content planning, approval, and execution across LinkedIn and other digital platforms to ensure consistent brand messaging
  • Translate business objectives into content strategy, including thought leadership, case studies, service positioning, and corporate storytelling
  • Ensure the social media team delivers consistent engagement, visibility growth, and lead generation outcomes
  • Monitor and evaluate social media performance metrics (reach, engagement, leads, conversions) and optimize strategy accordingly
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, partners, investors, and key stakeholders
  • Lead preparation of business proposals, pitch decks, capability statements, and partnership documents
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and revenue streams across consulting and training offerings
  • Support initiatives related to grants, donor funding, strategic partnerships, and financing opportunities
  • Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and industry trend monitoring to support growth strategy
  • Coordinate digital outreach campaigns, LinkedIn networking strategies, and targeted client engagement efforts
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align service offerings with market demand and client needs
  • Track and manage the sales pipeline, conversion rates, and overall business development performance metrics
  • Prepare periodic growth reports, business development updates, and market intelligence reports for management
  • Drive brand visibility and corporate positioning across digital and offline channels
  • Support marketing execution to ensure alignment between content output and revenue goals
  • Represent the firm in professional forums, networking events, conferences, and stakeholder engagements
  • Ensure timely follow-up on leads, proposals, and partnership opportunities
  • Work closely with leadership to support expansion strategies and new market entry initiative
  • Perform other business development and strategic growth responsibilities as assigned by management

Experience and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Economics, Communications, or a related field (Master’s Degree or professional certifications is an added advantage)
  • 4–7 years proven experience in business development, sales, partnerships, or growth roles within consulting, financial services, or professional services
  • Demonstrated experience managing client pipelines, driving revenue growth, and closing business opportunities
  • Proven experience supervising or working closely with a social media or digital content team in a business or corporate environment
  • Strong experience in LinkedIn strategy, content direction, and digital engagement for business growth
  • Proficiency in social media management tools such as Hootsuite, Buffer, Meta Business Suite, Canva, or similar platforms
  • Experience using CRM tools such as HubSpot, Zoho CRM, Salesforce, or similar platforms for pipeline and client management
  • Strong ability to use AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Notion AI, Jasper, Copy.ai) to support business development activities such as content creation, proposal writing, market research, and outreach
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, content performance tracking, and online brand positioning for B2B services
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint and Excel, for proposals, reports, and presentations
  • Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and deliver measurable growth results
  • Experience in managing partnerships, client relationships, or strategic collaborations is an added advantage
  • High level of commercial awareness, professionalism, and result orientation

Salary
N400,000 - N700,000 per month.
