The Mater Ecclesiae St. Carlo Acutis School of Discernment of Joyful Vocation is a Catholic residential formation and secondary-level school located in Sangotedo, Lagos. Established by the Mater Ecclesiae Monastery, it provides holistic education and spiritual guidance.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Operations Manager

Location: Sangotedo, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Reports To: Centre Director.

About the Role

  • The Operations Manager ensures the smooth, efficient, and well-ordered administrative and operational running of the Centre.
  • She manages all administrative systems, records, logistics, and communications — freeing the Centre Director and formation staff to focus on formation and pastoral work.
  • She also line-manages the support staff team and serves as the Centre's internal operational coordination hub.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all administrative functions — correspondence, records, filing, scheduling, and office systems
  • Maintain student records, staff files, and all required Centre documentation
  • Identify and raise procurement requisitions to the Bursar; coordinate receipt and distribution of supplies
  • Coordinate logistics for events, visits, external activities, and student outings
  • Manage communications — telephone, email, and visitor reception — for the Centre
  • Line-manage support staff: Kitchen Assistants, Cleaners, and Security Coordinator
  • Oversee maintenance and upkeep of Centre facilities
  • Ensure compliance with civil administrative, health and safety, and regulatory requirements
  • Support the Centre Director with reporting, correspondence, governance documentation and other services as required

What we are looking for

  • A female professional with strong administrative and organisational experience, ideally in a school, institution, or residential setting
  • Experience managing a small team and coordinating complex operational logistics
  • Proficiency in office systems, record-keeping, and Microsoft Office
  • High level of discretion, integrity, and attention to detail
  • Calm, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Alignment with Catholic values and the mission of the Centre
  • A Police Character Certificate and satisfactory reference checks.
