Job Title: Field Technical Officer

Job Summary
- We are seeking a smart, proactive, and technically skilled Field Officer to support the installation, monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of vehicle tracking and IoT devices across assigned locations in Port Harcourt.
- The ideal candidate must be hands-on, responsive, disciplined, and capable of working independently in the field while maintaining excellent communication with clients and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out installation, configuration, and activation of tracking devices and related hardware.
- Monitor assigned assets on the IVMS platform and ensure proper tracking and data visibility.
- Respond promptly to maintenance, fault, and technical support requests.
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance and health checks on installed devices.
- Liaise with transporters, drivers, and clients to resolve tracking and downloading issues.
- Prepare and submit reports accurately and on time.
- Escalate unresolved technical issues appropriately.
- Ensure compliance with company SOPs, safety standards, and operational guidelines.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiency projects.
- Maintain proper documentation of installations, maintenance activities, and resolutions.
Requirements
- Minimum of OND/HND/B.Sc. in a related discipline.
- 2–5 years experience in field operations, GPS tracking installation, telecommunications, or technical support.
- Basic understanding of vehicle tracking systems, IoT devices, and troubleshooting processes.
- Strong communication and reporting skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Must be willing to travel within and outside Port Harcourt when required.
- Good problem-solving and customer relationship skills.
- Proficiency in using smartphones, mobile apps, and reporting tools.
