Job Title: Chief Security Officer (CSO)

Locations: Kaduna and Nasarawa

Position Overview

  • The Chief Security Officer (CSO) will leverage extensive military experience to safeguard the organization’s people, assets, and information.
  • With a proven background in operational command, risk management, and crisis response, the CSO will design and enforce a comprehensive security framework that integrates physical, cyber, and strategic security.
  • Reporting directly to the CEO, the CSO will serve as the organization’s principal authority on all matters of security and resilience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Security Leadership: Translate military discipline and operational expertise into corporate security strategies.
  • Risk & Threat Assessment: Conduct proactive evaluations of potential threats, drawing on military intelligence methodologies.
  • Crisis Management: Lead emergency response and continuity planning, ensuring rapid and coordinated action during incidents.
  • Physical Security Oversight: Implement robust measures to protect facilities, personnel, and critical infrastructure.
  • Cybersecurity Integration: Collaborate with IT leaders to defend against cyber threats, ensuring digital resilience.
  • Training & Preparedness: Develop and deliver security awareness programs, instilling a culture of vigilance across the organization.
  • Executive Collaboration: Partner with senior leadership to align security priorities with business objectives.
  • Global Security Operations: Oversee international security protocols for travel, logistics, and cross-border operations.

Qualifications

  • Military background with 10+ years of service, including leadership roles in security, intelligence, or operations.
  • Strong expertise in risk management and crisis response.
  • Proven ability to lead diverse teams under pressure.
  • Familiarity with corporate security frameworks and regulatory compliance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Security Studies, Defense, or related field; advanced training in military strategy or intelligence preferred.
  • Certifications such as CPP, CISSP, or equivalent are advantageous.
