We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Senior Production Geologist

Location: Gujeni Village, Kaduna
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary 

  • African Industries Group is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Production Geologist to join our mining operations team at Gujeni Mine, Kaduna.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and optimize the production geology value-chain
  • Execute production planning, geological mapping, sampling, and grade control activities
  • Update geological sections and 3D geological models
  • Monitor crusher feed quality and ore blending
  • Coordinate drilling, QA/QC compliance, and reconciliation programs
  • Collaborate with mine planners, drill-and-blast teams, and processing teams
  • Train and mentor junior geology staff
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards

Requirements

  • B.Sc. (Hons) in Geology or related Geoscience field
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in production geology, preferably within iron ore operations
  • Strong experience in geological modelling, orebody evaluation, mine-to-mill reconciliation, and QA/QC processes
  • Proficiency in mining software such as Surpac, Datamine, Leapfrog, etc.
  • Excellent analytical, reporting, communication, and leadership skills
  • Ability to work remotely and travel when required.
