Job Description

  • We are in need of a seasoned and well-experienced head of business development professional currently working within a finance or commercial bank who will supervise the team, lead, and facilitate all marketing activities within the company.

Brief Summary of Job:

  • The business development manager will be responsible for leading and executing the company’s overall marketing strategy to drive brand awareness, customer acquisition, engagement, and revenue growth.
  • This role involves overseeing a high-performing marketing team, managing the marketing budget, and ensuring alignment between marketing initiatives and business goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluating the creditworthiness of potential customers.
  • Creating credit scoring models for risk assessments.
  • Approving and rejecting loans based on available data
  • Calculating and setting loan interest rates
  • Negotiating the terms of the loan with new clients
  • Ensuring all loans and lending procedures comply with regulations
  • Maintaining records of all company loans.
  • Monitoring loan payments and bad debts.
  • Reviewing and updating the company’s credit policy.

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Identify new market opportunities and lead market research initiatives.
  • Define and track KPIs for marketing performance and ROI.

Team Management:

  • Recruit, mentor, and manage junior teammates of marketing professionals.
  • Promote a data-driven, collaborative, and innovative team culture.
  • Provide regular performance feedback and professional development opportunities.

Brand Management:

  • Oversee brand positioning, messaging, and visual identity.
  • Ensure consistency of brand voice across all platforms and touchpoints.
  • Manage public relations, partnerships, and sponsorships.

Digital Marketing & Campaigns:

  • Lead all marketing efforts, including SEO, SEM, email marketing, social media, and content marketing.
  • Plan and manage multi-channel marketing campaigns.
  • Optimize the company website and digital presence for conversion and performance.

Product & Customer Marketing:

  • Collaborate with product and sales teams to develop go-to-market strategies.
  • Oversee customer segmentation, lifecycle marketing, and retention strategies.
  • Gather customer insights to inform product development and messaging.

Budgeting & Reporting:

  • Manage the marketing budget and allocate resources effectively.
  • Analyze campaign performance and report results to senior leadership.
  • Make data-informed recommendations for continuous improvement

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, business, or a related field (master’s degree preferred).
  • Must be working with a finance, fintech, or commercial bank.
  • 7+years of experience in marketing, with at least 8 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven experience leading successful marketing campaigns across multiple channels.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
  • Experience working in a financial or banking institution
  • Strong network within the job location and its environment
  • A certification/license is preferred.
