We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: IT Automation Officer

Location: Shomolu, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Department: Information Technology
Unit: Business Automation Unit
Reports To: Lead, Workflow Specialist

Purpose

  • To string the automation of business processes using the Microsoft Power Platform (PowerApps, Power Automate, PowerBI and Custom Connector) and improve efficiency across departments through scalable, secure, and user-friendly solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and deploy automated workflows using Power Automate to streamline repetitive tasks and approvals.
  • Design and build custom connectors within Power Platform to extend app capabilities and integrate with external services.
  • Develop and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading across various data sources.
  • Create and manage REST API calls to integrate Power Platform solutions with third-party applications.
  • Implement desktop automation flows using tools like Selenium and Power Automate Desktop for legacy or non-API systems.
  • Utilize Fx formulas and query logic within PowerApps and Power Automate to create dynamic and responsive user experiences.
  • Develop custom business applications using Canvas Apps and Model-Driven Apps.
  • Implement responsive, user-friendly interfaces aligned with business requirements.
  • Create and manage SharePoint lists/libraries and integrate them with Power Platform apps and flows.
  • Maintain document libraries, permission settings, and metadata structures.
  • Collaborate with departments to gather requirements, validate business needs, and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on deployed solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational standards for data handling, security, and app lifecycle management.
  • Maintain technical documentation, user guides, and change logs. Monitor existing automations and apps for performance and reliability.
  • Iterate based on user feedback and evolving business requirements.

Qualification and Experience

  • Candidates should possess a University Degree in any field with 2-3 years’ experience performing a similar function.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong proficiency in PowerApps (Canvas & Model-Driven Apps), PowerBI, Power Automate, and AI Builder
  • Experience with Power Automate for workflow and RPA scenarios
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and data query languages.
  • Practical experience in RESTful API integration and third-party service connectivity.
  • Proficient in developing custom connectors in Power Platform.
  • Familiarity with Data Analytics, Dataverse, Azure AD, and connectors in the Microsoft ecosystem
  • Problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and communicate effectively with stakeholders
