We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: CNG Operations Manager

Location: Akamkpa, Cross Rivers
Job Type: Full time

About the Job 

  • ResponsIble for the over all leadership, safety, reliability, and operational performance of the CNG compression station, ensuring efficient gas compression, storage, and dispatch while maintaining compliance with regulatory, environmental, and corporate standards.

What you'll be Doing
Operational Leadership:

  • Provide overall leadership and management of plant operations.
  • Ensure uninterrupted compression and dispatch of CNG to support logistics operations.
  • Establish operational plans aligned with business demand and capacity requirements.
  • Monitor plant KPIs including uptime, compressor availability, throughput, and turnaround time.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.

Safety & Compliance:
Ensure strict compliance with:

  • Gas handling standards.
  • Pressure vessel regulations.
  • Environmental regulations.
  • Lead incident investigations and corrective actions.

People Management:

  • Manage operations, maintenance, and support teams.
  • Ensure adequate shift coverage and competency development.

Stakeholder Coordination:

  • Coordinate with logistics, engineering, and external service providers.
  • Liaise with regulators and inspectors when required.

Direct Reports

  • Maintenance Supervisor .
  • Operations Supervisor.
  • Stores officer.

Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical / Chemical / Electrical Engineering.
  • 8–12 years experience in gas processing, energy, or industrial plants.
  • Strong knowledge of CNG compression system.
  • Leadership experience managing industrial operations.
  • Hands-on CNG Station Operation experience.
  • CNG / LPG / Hydrocarbon Plant Commissioning & Start-up experience.
