Job Summary

  • We are seeking to engage a competent and result-oriented Finance Manager to oversee and strengthen its financial operations.
  • The Finance Manager will be responsible for managing the company’s financial planning, budgeting, costing, reporting, and compliance functions.
  • The ideal candidate must possess strong manufacturing finance experience with extensive knowledge of product costing, inventory management, and financial controls within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
  • Oversee product costing, cost analysis, and cost control activities.
  • Monitor manufacturing costs, inventory valuation, and production variances.
  • Ensure accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial risk.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate external audits and liaise with regulatory authorities.
  • Develop and implement effective internal control systems.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support management decisions.
  • Supervise finance and accounting staff to ensure operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
  • Must have 10 - 15 years relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing company.
  • Extensive experience in costing and manufacturing finance is mandatory.
  • MBA, Professional qualification such as Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA/ACA), Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, or other relevant professional certification is required.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards, taxation, and internal controls.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry will be an added advantage.
