Meyer Plc is the Manufacturer and Marketer of high-quality Paints, including Architectural Paints, Wood Paints, Auto refinishes, Industrial and Marine, Road lining Paints, Roof coatings, Tube coatings, HP coatings, and Adhesives.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Financial Accountant

Location: Lagos

Job Description

• Preparation of quarterly financial reports and weekly performance reports.
• Prompt processing of all statutory payments.
• Supervision of the Credit Control Officer.
• Management of the external audit process with support from the CFO.
• Review of the general ledger and preparation of exception reports. First-level approval of invoices and expenses.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Financial:

• Achievement of at least 90% credit collection.
• Zero tax penalties and regulatory fines.

Operational:

• Draft quarterly reports to be ready on or before the 20th day of the reporting month
• Completion of the external audit and signing of accounts at least one week before the Board meeting.
• Quarterly reconciliation of top 10 vendor accounts.

Qualifications

• BSc/HND in Accounting or a related field.
• Part of full ICAN qualification.

Required Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial reporting and taxation within a regulated environment.
