Responsibilities

• Design and deliver engaging and detailed lessons in Literature in English that align with the school's curriculum and instructional standards.
• Foster a dynamic and inclusive learning environment that nurtures critical thinking, creativity, and a deep appreciation for literature.
• Introduce students to a diverse range of literary texts, genres, and authors from different cultural and historical contexts.
• Utilize effective teaching methodologies, resources, and technology to cater to students' varied learning needs and preferences.
• Assess students' understanding and progress through regular formative and summative evaluations, providing constructive feedback for improvement.
• Guide students in literary analysis, critical thinking, and interpretation of complex texts.
• Stay informed on current trends in literature and educational practices to ensure lessons are relevant and engaging.
• Engage in professional development activities to enhance subject knowledge and teaching proficiency.
• Build strong relationships with students, parents, and guardians to foster a supportive school community and encourage academic success.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in English, Literature, Education (English), or a related field.
• Recognized teaching certification in Literature or English Education.
• Proven experience teaching Literature in English at the secondary school level.
• A strong practicing, Spirit-filled Christian committed to upholding Christian values and principles.
• Exceptional command of English and deep knowledge of literary analysis, criticism, and genres.
• Passion for inspiring students to develop a lifelong love for literature and effective communication skills.
• Proficiency in incorporating technology and multimedia resources into teaching literature.
• Dedication to ongoing professional development and staying current with emerging literary works and educational trends.
