We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Account Officer

Location: Abeokuta, Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time

Description

  • We’re seeking an Account Officer to assist the head of account to manage our organization’s financial records.
  • Responsibilities include tracking transactions, managing accounts payable and receivable, handling bookkeeping, verifying invoices, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with financial policies.

Responsibilities

  • Bookkeeping: Maintain and update financial databases, ledgers, and journals accurately.
  • Accounts Management: Process accounts payable including bills, vendor payments, and payroll. Manage accounts receivable through invoicing and tracking incoming payments.
  • Reconciliation: Match transaction records against the general ledger to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Client & Vendor Correspondence: Respond to account queries and follow up on overdue or delinquent payments.
  • Reporting: Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes. Prepare financial and cost reports as needed
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting procedures and standards

Requirements

  • A minimum of a BSc or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, plus 1-3 years of relevant experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
  • Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving skills to identify errors, interprete Hdata, and balance accounts.
  • Attention to Detail: High accuracy in data entry and document verification.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills for interacting with clients, colleagues, and management.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks or advanced MS Excel is Mandatory
