Job Title: Extruder Machine Operator
Location: Sango-Ota, Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time
Duties
- Setting up extrusion machines to start production cycles.
- Supporting other machine operators to ensure smooth production flow.
- Reporting machine malfunctions or operational errors to supervising staff immediately and communicating important details regarding the issue.
- Controlling and adjusting machine settings for optimal performance.
- Adjusting machine components, temperature, and pressure to ensure quality and conformity of products.
- Monitoring raw material usage and minimizing production waste.
- Keeping accurate records of production quantities and machine performance.
- Following safety and sanitary procedures to prevent product contamination and workplace hazards.
- Performing simple hourly maintenance checks on the machine to ensure it is functional and safe to operate.
- Ensuring proper housekeeping around the production area.
Requirements
- Minimum of OND/Trade Test in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
- Previous experience in a similar production or manufacturing company is an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience operating MEKONG extrusion machines is required.
- Ability to troubleshoot basic machine faults and maintain production efficiency.
- Good understanding of safety procedures in a manufacturing environment.
