Zeus Microfinance Bank is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria to carry on the business of providing financial services such as savings and deposits, loans, domestic funds transfer and non-financial services to microfinance clients in Abuja and environs.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Driver

Location: Kubwa, Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Scope of the Role

• The Corporate Driver will support bank staff, clients, and affiliates by providing safe, reliable, and timely transportation.
• This role is also responsible for the secure movement of sensitive bank documents and items to designated locations.
• Strict compliance with traffic regulations, safety standards, and a high level of punctuality are mandatory at all times.

Specific Responsibilities
Vehicle Maintenance & Safety:

• Perform routine daily checks on the vehicle (fuel, oil, tires, brakes, fluids, etc.) to ensure it is in optimal working condition.
• Identify and perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks and troubleshooting (e.g., checking oil levels, changing flat tires).
• Ensure the vehicle is clean, presentable, and mechanically sound before every trip.
• Report any mechanical faults, technical issues, or accidents to the appropriate supervisor immediately.
• Schedule and coordinate regular vehicle servicing, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
• Ensure all required vehicle safety equipment (e.g., first aid kits, fire extinguishers, warning triangles) is present, functional, and up to date.

Logistics & Document Security:

• Transport sensitive bank documents securely between branches or to specified external locations.
• Assist with the timely delivery or collection of operational items crucial to daily banking activities.
• Maintain an accurate, up-to-date vehicle logbook detailing mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance history.
• Leverage extensive knowledge of local road networks, traffic patterns, and construction zones to map out alternative routes and optimize travel time.

Customer Service & Passenger Care:

• Provide a high level of hospitality and customer service to all passengers, maintaining a professional, positive, and courteous demeanor at all times.
• Assist passengers with boarding, managing luggage, or other personal transit needs as required.
• Ensure that all passengers adhere to vehicle safety regulations (e.g., wearing seatbelts) while in transit.

General Support:

• Execute any other duties and errands as assigned by the Managing Director (MD) and the Head of Administration.

Technical Knowledge & Minimum Requirements

• Education: Minimum of Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE), National Diploma (ND), or Higher National Diploma (HND).
• Experience: At least 3 years of experience as a professional driver, with strong preference given to those with experience in a corporate or financial institution setting.
• Licensing: Must possess a valid, clean driver’s license.
• Skills: Excellent route-planning abilities, familiarity with security protocols for transporting confidential documents, and basic mechanical troubleshooting skills.

Salary
N100,000 per month.
