Associates Consulting Limited - Our client is a fast-growing indigenous upstream, mid-stream, and downstream oil and gas group with interests in oil and gas exploration and production, gas processing, petrochemical/fertilizer production, and power.

They are currently expanding with some pipeline projects around the country, and they are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Cathodic Protection Technician (CP Technician)

Locations: Akwa Ibom, Delta, Imo, and Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time
Reports to: Head, Pipelines Development

Role Summary

• The Cathodic Protection Technician will be responsible for the installation and testing of cathodic protection system for the pipeline project.

Key Responsibilities

• Soil resistivity measurements using the wenner four-pin method.
• Hands-on experience in thermit welding, cable laying and test station installation as per approved drawings.
• Perform periodic monitoring and maintenance as required.
• Operate and maintain CP testing equipment including, Cu(Cuso4) reference cell, multimeter, clamp meter, megger and data logger.
• Prepare daily and monthly activity reports, highlighting field readings, anomalies and corrective actions.
• Ability to read and execute work as per technical drawings and procedures.

Requirements

• A Diploma or an HND / Degree in any course.
• Minimum of 10 years experience in Cathodic Protection systems for a pipeline project.
