Job Title: Supply Chain Manager

Description
- Our client is seeking an experienced and result-driven Supply Chain Manager to oversee and optimize the company’s supply chain operations within the Oil & Gas sector.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing procurement, logistics, inventory control, warehousing, vendor relationships, and overall supply chain efficiency while ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies.
- The successful candidate must possess strong negotiation, organizational, and cost management skills, with the ability to lead teams and coordinate supply chain activities effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective supply chain strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
- Manage procurement, inventory, warehousing, logistics, and distribution operations.
- Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong vendor relationships.
- Ensure cost-effective sourcing and procurement practices.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service agreements with suppliers and vendors.
- Coordinate the movement of materials, equipment, and supplies required for operations.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, industry regulations, and supply chain best practices.
- Oversee inventory management and ensure accurate documentation and reporting.
- Collaborate with internal departments including Engineering, Logistics, QHSE, Finance, and Operations.
- Prepare reports, memos, and correspondence related to supply chain activities.
- Monitor supply chain risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Supervise and support officers within the supply chain team.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials and services to support operational efficiency.
- Utilize MS Office applications and relevant supply chain management systems effectively.
Requirements
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Engineering, Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, or related disciplines.
- A Master’s Degree will be an added advantage.
Professional Certifications:
Candidates must possess at least one of the following certifications:
- Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
- Certified in Logistics, Transportation and Distribution (CLTD)
- Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM)
- Certification through the Association for Supply Chain Management (ASCM) is required.
Experience:
- 8–15 years of relevant work experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
- Strong experience in supply chain management, procurement, logistics, inventory, warehousing, and vendor management.
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Strong understanding of supply chain management procedures and best practices.
- Excellent negotiation and cost management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- High level of organizational and multitasking skills.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to compose professional correspondence and reports.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Ability to prioritize workload effectively and manage team deliverables.

Additional Requirements:
- Candidate must be resident in Port Harcourt.
- Ability to resume within two weeks to one month is preferred.
Salary
N1,000,000 - N1,500,000 per month.
