Job Title: Estimator – Construction & Specialty Contracting
Location: Iyana Ipaja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Position Summary
- The Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates, proposals, bid packages, quantity take-offs, and pricing analyses for construction, facilities maintenance, specialty contracting, engineering, and industrial projects across the United States.
Key Responsibilities
- Review project drawings, specifications, contracts, RFQs, RFPs, and bid invitations.
- Perform detailed quantity take-offs from plans and specifications.
- Develop labor, material, equipment, subcontractor, and indirect cost estimates.
- Prepare proposals, bid submissions, scope narratives, assumptions, and exclusions.
- Solicit vendor and subcontractor quotations.
- Review architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and specialty trade drawings.
- Support facilities maintenance and specialty contracting estimates.
- Monitor bid opportunities and submission deadlines.
- Prepare estimating reports and profitability analyses.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Estimate accuracy within ±10% of actual project cost.
- On-time bid completion rate.
- Proposal turnaround time.
- Gross margin achievement on awarded projects.
- Reduction in estimate revisions and scope gaps.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
- 3–7 years of estimating experience.
- Experience with commercial, healthcare, industrial, or facilities maintenance projects preferred.
- Experience reviewing construction drawings and specifications.
