We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Finance Officer

Location: Alimosho, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operational activities across all banking products and services.
  • Review and resolve transaction exceptions, failed transactions, reversals, and operational incidents within Bank One.
  • Manage daily reconciliation processes between Bank One General Ledger, settlement bank accounts, and internal transaction records.
  • Investigate and resolve reconciliation discrepancies, settlement exceptions, and transaction disputes within agreed timelines.
  • Oversee merchant settlements, NIP settlements, card settlements, bill payment settlements, and cross-border transaction settlements.
  • Monitor AML alerts, support suspicious transaction investigations, and ensure compliance with KYC and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage customer account operations including account restrictions, freezes/unfreezes, dormancy management, KYC upgrades, and compliance reviews.
  • Ensure timely resolution of customer complaints and operational issues.
  • Support the preparation of CBN returns, regulatory reports, audits, and board reporting requirements.
  • Maintain accurate operational records and ensure all documentation remains audit-ready.
  • Manage relationships with core banking providers, settlement banks, payment processors, and other operational partners.
  • Prepare and present operational performance, settlement, reconciliation, and compliance reports to management.
  • Lead operational improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, controls, and customer experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Banking, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience within a Microfinance Bank, Fintech, or Commercial Banking environment.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a supervisory or operational leadership role.
  • Strong hands-on experience using Bank One Core Banking System is mandatory.
  • Strong knowledge of reconciliation, settlement operations, transaction investigations, and operational reporting.
  • Good understanding of CBN regulations, AML requirements, KYC processes, and financial services operations.
  • Experience working with digital banking systems, APIs, transaction logs, and payment channels.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
