Role Overview

• We are seeking a skilled Turbine/Boiler Engineer with 4–6 years of professional experience to join our mining operations in Kaduna.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and optimization of turbine and boiler systems to ensure reliable energy supply for mining activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Boiler operation: Manage daily operations of industrial boilers, ensuring efficiency and compliance with safety standards.
• Turbine maintenance: Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on turbines to minimize downtime.
• Performance monitoring: Track system performance, analyze data, and recommend improvements.
• Safety compliance: Ensure adherence to environmental, health, and safety regulations.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues in turbine/boiler systems.
• Team collaboration: Work closely with mining operations, electrical, and mechanical teams to support production goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Power Engineering, or related fields
• 4 - 6 years of hands-on experience with turbine and boiler systems in heavy industry (preferably mining or energy).
• Strong knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics.
• Familiarity with industrial safety protocols.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with energy efficiency optimization.
• Knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems.
• Strong communication and reporting abilities.
