Job Summary
- We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Site Engineer to oversee and support construction activities on-site, ensuring projects are executed according to specifications, timelines, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- The ideal candidate will work closely with project teams, contractors, and consultants to ensure the smooth delivery of construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily construction activities and ensure work is carried out according to approved drawings and specifications.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates on site activities.
- Coordinate contractors, subcontractors, and site workers to ensure efficient project execution.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Review technical drawings, plans, and specifications to support construction activities.
- Assist in resolving technical issues and challenges encountered on-site.
- Ensure proper utilization of materials, equipment, and resources.
- Maintain accurate site records, reports, and project documentation.
- Monitor adherence to project schedules and escalate delays or risks where necessary.
- Participate in project meetings and provide technical input when required.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations on-site.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Civil Engineering, Building Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
- 1 - 3 years of relevant experience in site engineering, construction supervision, or related roles.
- Good understanding of construction methods, materials, and site operations.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and construction plans.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of AutoCAD or related engineering software is an added advantage.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced onsite environment.
