Job Overview

  • We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Audit Associate to join its growing team. The firm serves clients across diverse sectors, including fintech, energy, logistics, manufacturing, and technology.
  • The successful candidate will play a key role in executing audit engagements, assessing financial and operational controls, identifying potential risks, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the planning, execution, and completion of audit engagements.
  • Examine financial statements, accounting records, and supporting documentation for accuracy and compliance.
  • Evaluate internal controls and identify areas of risk, inefficiencies, or process gaps.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive audit working papers and documentation.
  • Conduct data analysis to support audit findings and recommendations.
  • Participate in inventory verification exercises, cash counts, and operational audits where required.
  • Assist in preparing audit reports and presenting findings to management.
  • Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and corrective actions.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, accounting standards, and company policies.
  • Liaise with clients and internal stakeholders to obtain relevant information and documentation.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive financial information.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of audit methodologies and processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in auditing, accounting, compliance, or a related finance function.
  • Strong understanding of auditing principles, internal controls, and financial reporting.
  • Working knowledge of accounting standards and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
  • Relevant professional certification such as ICAN (or equivalent) is required.

Salary
N250,000 - N300,000 / Month.
