Job Title: Junior Accountant

Location: Mushin, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions accurately in the accounting system.
• Prepare and post journal entries.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Process invoices, payments, and receipts.
• Reconcile bank statements and company accounts.
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up on payments.
• Verify expense claims and supporting documentation.
• Support payroll processing and related reconciliations.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Prepare schedules and working papers for audits.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
• Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns and statutory reports.
• Track and reconcile petty cash transactions.
• Analyze financial data and identify discrepancies.
• Support inventory and fixed asset accounting processes.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial information.
• Collaborate with internal departments on financial matters.
• Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

Typical Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related fields.

Salary
N120,000 - N150,000 monthly.
