Job Title: Fashion Designer

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing original fashion concepts, translating ideas into commercially viable designs, and collaborating with production teams to bring collections to life.
  • This role is perfect for someone with a strong eye for style, current fashion trends, and garment construction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop original fashion concepts aligned with the brand’s identity and target audience.
  • Create mood boards, sketches, and technical drawings for collections.
  • Select fabrics, trims, colors, and embellishments for designs.
  • Collaborate with production teams to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Refine and finalize designs based on feedback, market trends, and production needs.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor offerings, and customer preferences.
  • Participate in fittings and oversee garment development from prototype to production.
  • Ensure timely execution of designs in line with collection timelines.
  • Maintain organized records of designs, patterns, and samples.
  • Work closely with marketing and sales teams to support commercial objectives.
  • Support styling for campaigns, lookbooks, and brand presentations when required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in fashion design, preferably within a ready-to-wear fashion.
  • Strong illustration, sketching, and CAD skills (e.g., Adobe Illustrator).
  • Good understanding of garment construction, pattern making, and textiles.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of current fashion trends and seasonal palettes.
  • Excellent attention to detail and creativity.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Salary
N500,000 - N600,000 per month.
