Job Title: Senior Procurement Specialist

Location: Lagos

Summary

• The Senior Procurement Specialist will be responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process, developing sourcing strategies, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the timely acquisition of goods and services while optimizing cost, quality, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute procurement strategies that support business objectives.
• Manage sourcing activities, supplier selection, contract negotiations, and purchase processes.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and service providers.
• Conduct market research and supplier benchmarking to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Lead negotiations to secure favorable pricing, terms, and service levels.
• Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with agreed service standards.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand procurement requirements and provide effective solutions.
• Ensure adherence to company procurement policies and regulatory requirements.
• Analyze procurement data and prepare reports to support decision-making.
• Identify and mitigate procurement-related risks.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, preferably within a fast-paced corporate environment.
• Strong experience in vendor management, contract negotiation, and strategic sourcing.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and procurement management systems.
• Professional certifications such as CIPS, CIPSMN, or related qualifications will be an added advantage.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
