Job Title: Financial Controller

Job Summary

• Our client is seeking an experienced, strategic, and results-oriented Financial Controller to oversee the company's financial operations, reporting, compliance, and internal control functions.
• The Financial Controller will be responsible for managing the company's finance and accounting activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, supporting strategic decision-making, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting and financial operations of the company.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records and reporting.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Monitor cash flow, working capital, and financial performance.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and treasury functions.
• Ensure timely preparation and posting of accounting entries, journals, and financial transactions.
• Coordinate external audits and liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and maintain effective internal control systems and financial policies.
• Provide financial analysis and strategic recommendations to management.
• Lead, mentor, and supervise the finance and accounts team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Professional qualification: ICAN (Mandatory).
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, with at least 5 years in a senior finance leadership role.
• An MBA will be an added advantage.
• Previous experience in a trading company is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, treasury management, and internal controls.
• Excellent analytical, leadership, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
