Job Title: Technical Assistant (Hospitality)
Location: Abuja (FCT)
Job Summary
- The Technical Assistant to the MD / CEO provides high-level business intelligence, operational analysis, and executive tracking to support the leader of a hospitality group or luxury hotel chain.
- This individual acts as a strategic gatekeeper - analyzing monthly revenue per available room (RevPAR), reviewing franchise or property management agreements, and ensuring operational standard operating procedures (SOPs) are met across multiple hospitality properties.
Key Responsibilities
- Performance Analysis & Reporting: Review and consolidate weekly and monthly financial performance data from hotel departments (Food & Beverage, Rooms Division, Sales & Marketing).
- Present scannable briefings to the MD on profit margins and occupancy trends.
- Strategic Project Tracking: Monitor the implementation of corporate initiatives across properties, such as new property management system (PMS) rollouts, brand standard audits, or digital guest experience updates.
- Executive Liaison & Minutes: Accompany the MD to board meetings, investor briefings, and executive committee sessions. Take highly detailed minutes, compile action items, and aggressively follow up with General Managers (GMs) and department heads to ensure compliance.
- Market Expansion & Research: Conduct feasibility studies and competitor benchmarking for proposed hotel locations, asset acquisitions, or brand licensing deals.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Finance, or Economics. An MBA is an advantage.
- Experience: 3–6 years within a corporate hospitality setting, luxury hotel management office, or top-tier consulting firm.
Technical Skills:
- Elite proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint; strong familiarity with hospitality metrics (RevPAR, ADR, GOPPAR) and Property Management Systems (e.g., Opera, Cloudbeds).
