We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Quantity Surveyor (Procurement Experience)

Job Summary

• The Procurement Officer with a QS background is responsible for the end-to-end sourcing, evaluation, and acquisition of construction materials, plant, and subcontracting services.
• Leveraging engineering and cost-estimation expertise, this role ensures all purchased items precisely match project specifications, minimizes material wastage, manages subcontracts commercially, and aggressively protects project profit margins.
• Draft, negotiate, and administer legally binding supply contracts and Subcontract Agreements using standard construction law frameworks (e.g., JCT, FIDIC, NEC, or local variations).
• Evaluate and manage variation orders (changes to the original scope of work) submitted by subcontractors or requested by the site team, ensuring price validity.
• Review interim payment applications from suppliers and subcontractors, verifying work completed against site progress before approving disbursements.
• rack market trends for volatile raw materials (e.g., steel, cement, copper) to strategically time bulk purchases and lock in favorable pricing.
• Identify and implement value-engineering opportunities where alternative materials can reduce costs without sacrificing structural integrity or design intent.
• Maintain a strict project procurement cost-tracker, mapping actual expenditure against the initial baseline budget to catch and rectify overruns early.

Salary
N250,000 - N350,000 per month.
