We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Site Inspector – Structural, Piping, Mechanical & E&I (ATEX) – Offshore

Location: Rivers

Job Summary

  • The Site Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all structural, piping, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and ATEX-related installation, maintenance, inspection, and construction activities are executed in accordance with approved engineering drawings, project specifications, applicable codes and standards, client requirements, and HSE regulations.
  • The role involves conducting inspections, monitoring contractor activities, identifying non-conformities, and ensuring quality compliance throughout offshore operations.

Key Responsibilities
Structural Inspection:

  • Inspect fabrication, installation, repair, and modification of offshore structures.
  • Verify compliance with approved drawings, welding procedures, and engineering specifications.
  • Monitor structural integrity activities, corrosion protection systems, and coating applications.
  • Review structural inspection reports and identify defects requiring corrective action.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards such as API, ISO, DNV, and AWS.

Piping Inspection:

  • Inspect piping fabrication, installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
  • Verify material traceability, pipe routing, supports, and alignment.
  • Witness hydrostatic, pneumatic, and leak testing activities.
  • Ensure welding and NDT activities comply with approved procedures and project specifications.
  • Review piping punch lists and monitor close-out actions.

Mechanical Inspection:

  • Inspect installation and maintenance of rotating and static equipment.
  • Verify equipment alignment, assembly, bolting, torqueing, and commissioning activities.
  • Monitor maintenance and repair activities on pumps, compressors, valves, turbines, heat exchangers, and pressure vessels.
  • Ensure compliance with OEM recommendations and project requirements.
  • Participate in equipment acceptance and handover inspections.

Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Inspection:

  • Inspect installation, calibration, testing, and commissioning of electrical and instrumentation systems.
  • Verify cable routing, cable terminations, gland installations, and earthing systems.
  • Inspect instrument installations, control panels, junction boxes, and field devices.
  • Witness loop checks, functional testing, and commissioning activities.
  • Ensure compliance with IEC, NEC, and project specifications.

ATEX Compliance Inspection:

  • Verify installation and maintenance of equipment within hazardous areas.
  • Ensure ATEX-certified equipment is correctly selected and installed.
  • Inspect hazardous area classifications and Ex equipment markings.
  • Conduct compliance checks on explosion-proof, intrinsically safe, and flameproof systems.
  • Identify and report ATEX-related non-conformities.
  • Ensure compliance with ATEX directives, IECEx requirements, and company standards.
