Job Title: Back - End Developer (NYSC & Experienced Candidates)

Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• We are looking for a skilled Backend Developer with solid experience (or strong foundational knowledge) in Python and Django to design, build, and maintain scalable backend services.
• This role is open to both NYSC Corps Members and experienced professionals who are passionate about building efficient, secure, and reliable systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Python and Django
• Build and integrate APIs and third-party services
• Develop and manage databases using PostgreSQL and ensure data integrity
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and security
• Collaborate with frontend developers and other team members to deliver products
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices
• Ensure backend systems align with security and compliance standards

Requirements
For Experienced Candidates:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• 2–4 years’ experience in backend development
• Strong proficiency in Python and Django
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL (or similar relational databases)
• Experience building RESTful APIs
• Understanding of version control tools (e.g., Git)
• Knowledge of system architecture and performance optimization

For NYSC Candidates:

• Current NYSC Corps Member
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• Basic knowledge of Python and Django
• Familiarity with databases (preferably PostgreSQL)
• Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment
