Job Title: Registered Laboratory Scientist

Location: Rumuola & Rumuodara, Port Harcourt - Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time
Workdays: Monday- Sunday (with shifts)

Job Summary

• We are seeking a detail-oriented and licensed Registered Laboratory Scientist to join our diagnostic healthcare team. Y
• ou will conduct a variety of medical laboratory tests, analyze biological specimens, and provide accurate, timely data to assist physicians in patient care and management.

Key Responsibilities

• Specimen Management: Collect, receive, label, and prepare biological samples (e.g., blood, urine, tissue) ensuring integrity and proper identification prior to testing.
• Diagnostic Testing: Perform complex manual and automated laboratory tests across various departments such as Hematology, Microbiology, Clinical Chemistry, and Immunology.
• Evaluate test results, identify abnormal findings, and record accurate data in the laboratory information system (LIS).
• Implement and monitor strict quality control procedures, calibrate instruments, and validate results to ensure accuracy and compliance with health regulations.
• Operate, clean, and troubleshoot sophisticated laboratory equipment and resolve technical malfunctions.
• Maintain a sterile, safe work environment by adhering to universal precautions, infection control guidelines, and hazardous waste disposal protocols.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science (B.MLS) in Medical Laboratory Science or a closely related Biological/Chemical Science.
• Licensure/Certification: Must hold a valid, active practicing license and registration with the relevant regulatory body from the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN).
• Experience: 2–3 years of clinical laboratory experience is highly preferred
• Technical Skills: Proficiency with modern laboratory information systems (LIS) and automated diagnostic analyzers.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, meticulous attention to detail, and excellent written/verbal communication skills.

Salary
N100,000 - N120,000 monthly.
