Job Title: Technical Support Engineer

Locations: Abuja and Kano

Job Summary

• We areseeking an experienced Technical Support Engineer to support the design and implementation of energy storage and solar power projects.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing detailed engineering designs, producing technical drawings, coordinating with EPC contractors and project stakeholders, and providing technical support throughout project execution.

Key Responsibilities
Project Design & Engineering:

• Review project requirements and pre-sales solutions to confirm design inputs, including equipment specifications, site conditions, interface boundaries, and technical requirements.
• Develop detailed engineering designs for energy storage systems and related electrical infrastructure.
• Prepare and verify technical drawings and documents, including:
  • Single-line diagrams
  • Electrical wiring diagrams
  • Equipment layout drawings
  • Other engineering documentation as required
• Ensure all designs comply with applicable industry standards, regulations, and company requirements.

Technical Coordination:

• Serve as the technical interface between Itel Energy, EPC contractors, and construction teams.
• Conduct technical briefings, drawing reviews, and design clarification sessions.
• Support project teams by resolving technical issues during installation and commissioning.
• Recommend design modifications and technical solutions when required.

Technical Support:

• Provide technical guidance on system integration, construction activities, testing, and commissioning.
• Support troubleshooting and joint debugging activities during project implementation.
• Assist in ensuring timely resolution of technical issues throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Deliverables

• Detailed engineering design packages.
• Single-line diagrams, layout drawings, and wiring diagrams.
• Technical clarification and design change records.
• Drawing review reports and technical meeting minutes.

Requirements
Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Automation, Renewable Energy, or a related field.

Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in:
  • Electrical design
  • Energy storage system design
  • Power engineering projects
• Experience working with EPC contractors and handling on-site technical issues is an advantage.

Technical Skills:

• Strong understanding of energy storage system architecture and engineering implementation processes.
• Ability to independently produce detailed engineering designs and technical drawings.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other engineering design software.
• Experience with SketchUp and PVSyst is an added advantage.
• Good understanding of electrical standards, drawing specifications, and document control processes.
• Basic knowledge of electrical circuits.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience within the solar, photovoltaic (PV), or energy storage industry.
• Experience working with companies such as Victron, Dyness, Huawei, or SMA.
• Established network within EPC, electrical engineering, installation, or industrial equipment sectors.
• Experience managing projects throughout the full project lifecycle.
