The company operates an integrated oil palm project in Cross River State, Nigeria, covering over 34,000 hectares of plantations and a state-of-the-art palm oil mill. We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Plumber

Location: Mbarakom, Akamkpa Local Government Area - Cross River
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Purpose

• To install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems within the palm oil mill, staff residential areas, and associated facilities, ensuring efficient water supply, drainage, and sanitation systems in compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out regular maintenance of plumbing systems.
• Install plumbing systems in new buildings and facilities.
• Inspect previously installed plumbing systems to ensure functionality.
• Diagnose faults and carry out necessary repairs.
• Ensure compliance with current plumbing codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
• Follow all regulatory requirements to ensure systems pass inspections.
• Maintain accurate work logs and records of tasks performed.
• Prepare and submit reports on maintenance and repair work carried out.
• Provide advice on plumbing system maintenance and upkeep.
• Ensure proper use and care of tools and equipment.
• Maintain good housekeeping in work areas.
• Communicate effectively with team members and other departments.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Daily Tasks

• Inspect and assess plumbing systems in assigned areas.
• Identify leaks, blockages, and faults.
• Carry out routine repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Install pipes, fixtures, and fittings as required.
• Test plumbing systems after installation or repair.
• Clean and maintain tools after work.
• Document completed tasks and report issues.

• Timely completion of plumbing repairs and installations
• Reduction in system downtime
• Compliance with safety and regulatory standards
• Quality and durability of repairs
• Accuracy of maintenance records
• Housekeeping standards.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) or equivalent.
• Trade Test Certificate in Plumbing is an added advantage.
• 1 - 3 years of experience in plumbing work.
• Experience in industrial or plantation environment is an advantage.

Technical Skills:

• Pipe installation and repair
• Leak detection and troubleshooting
• Use of plumbing tools and equipment
• Reading of basic technical drawings
• Preventive maintenance practices.

Salary
N125,000 - N150,000 monthly.
